Greybeard: The Documentary

Dale "GREYBEARD" Sanders will be taking on the entire length of the Mississippi River by canoe, in attempt to break the Guinness world record as the oldest human to do so.... AGAIN! While Dale makes his attempt, he will have a film crew following him along the way. Although Dale is attempting this Guinness world record, the film will be covering much more. They will take an in depth look at Dale and his life. His accomplishments, his downfalls, his ability to stay optimistic and agile. In other words the good, the bad, and the ugly. We invite you to follow along with the journey on our facebook page Greybeard: The Documentary

A film by Zak Rivers in association with Wilderness Mindset

Zak, Alex and Amy are all really excited to be a part of history in the making and rolling it into "Greybeard: The Documentary." Projects like these are their passion and where they thrive. They all will be donating their time for production and post-production, but besides that, expenses add up quickly! Project expenses include lots and lots of travel, renting gear, food, hiring additional people for help when needed and more. The expenses of this project are coming from out of pocket, and we need your help! Please donate to our GoFundMe fundraiser at https://gofund.me/d963d0e2. Without you, this project will be near impossible.

The Film Crew:

Zak Rivers:
Zak is an award-winning Photographer, Filmmaker, and Musician from Mankato, MN. While his client base is largely from MN, he has adventured and shot in Zion Natl. Park, Mt. Hood, the MN Boundary Waters, Cambodia, Big Bear CA, and recently Nepal/Mt. Everest. A professional photographer like no other. As Zak put it: “With an interest in a source-to-sea paddle of the Mississippi, I was introduced to Dale Sanders, a world record holder and paddler from Memphis. The spark of Dales backstory, upcoming Source-To-Sea world record attempt as the oldest human to through-paddle the length of the Mississippi, and ever present charisma was enough to convince me that an award winning Documentary could potentially be made.”

Alex Maier (Wilderness Mindset):
Alex is an outdoor documentary filmmaker, and thru-hiker. His first film and long hike was in 2015 on the Pacific Northwest Trail. That hike changed his whole outlook on life and he has been working towards a career in outdoor filmmaking ever since. He went on to produce two more documentaries, one about the North Country Trail and another about the Hayduke Trail. Now he’s working on a fourth on the Continental Divide Trail with his girlfriend Amy Robin. Alex is interested in using nature and his movies as a tool to explore human consciousness, and personal growth. I first learned about Alex through his U-Tube Chanel, and after bing interviewed for his new film Mind, Body and Soul. He is also Co-CEO/ Owner, Wide Range Multimedia, LLC. Alex personifies excellence in nature and he will be an asset to the team.

Amy L. Robin (Wilderness Mindset):
Amy is a photographer, videographer, and adventurer. She's always been interested in cameras and nature. She seems to think they go hand in hand, and growing up in Montana gave her plenty of opportunities to put those two together with years of experience.

Amy has combined forces with her boyfriend, Alex Maier, to create Wilderness Mindset. They're planning their next personal documentary called Mind, Body, and Soul: The Nature of Well-Being. Amy believes in the power of nature so much she's decided to be vulnerable to show how nature can help heal the mind, body, and soul through a personal and private perspective. You can follow both Wilderness Mindset and Mind Body Soul Film on Facebook and Instagram.

You will rarely meet Amy without her best friend Minnow being somewhere nearby. Where one goes, the other will follow. Together they are unstoppable and are ready for almost any adventure.
