Guinness World Record Attempt - As Oldest to Paddle Entire Mississippi River
At the age of 87, Dale intends to enter the Guinness World Record Book once again, as the oldest person to ever paddle the entire length of the Mississippi River. He will start from its source at Lake Itasca, MN all the way to the salt water in the Gulf of Mexico, around 2340 miles!!! Paddlers generally call it a "Source to Sea" paddle. Dale will be paddling a "NorthWind SOLO" Northstar Canoes canoe. He hopes to finish in 87 days, on September 8, 2022. You will be able to follow Dale with SPOT Tracker. If you feel like it, join Dale for a spell. But remember you are on your own. ***Disclaimer - Dale and team takes no responsibility and you will have to make all your own shuttle, paddle, camping, eating, etc arrangements. In other words - just show up using GPS ready to paddle.***
