Dale Sanders Source to Sea after paddling 37.8 miles
LONG Day of paddling
Dale Sanders Source to Sea Winonah canoe setup
My setup, and what I see day after day.
Launched from the campsite in Aitkin MN at 0840. Paddled all day, not getting out of my boat for 30 miles.  I actually ate lunch while drifting to make time. Need to catch up on schedule in order to reach Minneapolis on June 8 in order to get through the St. Anthony Lock before it closes forever that evening.

It was a great day with excellent river current.  We ended up paddling 37.8 miles to Half Moon Canoe Camp. Weather says that it will freeze tonight, so I ate dinner quickly then slipped into my sleeping bag for a warm night’s sleep. My Goose Down bag inside the warm tent will keep me comfortable.
